We’re delighted to share that our entire range is 100% Australian-made, ensuring the finest local quality while honouring our commitment to local production and sustainability.

What makes your products different?

Our products combine rich botanical essences, high concentrations of active ingredients, and sustainable formulations. We use organic and locally-sourced ingredients wherever possible, and our products are primarily vegan, cruelty-free, and packaged with minimal plastic.

How do you ensure that The Very Good Goo products are safe and gentlefor the skin?

We carefully evaluate each ingredient for its safety and compatibility with the skin. This includes analysing ingredients’ toxicological properties. We review all available data in the literature, as well as legal requirements, specifications, official recommendations, and empirical values. Our carefully crafted selected ingredients maintain required specifications from their origin through to their use in the final product and are deemed safe as an ingredient in the concentrations used.

Are your products vegan?

Most of our products are entirely vegan, except for the Intensive Care Skin Balm (contains beeswax) and Whipped Glow Moisturiser (contains organic honey), both sourced sustainably from ethical beekeepers in Australia.

Many customers with eczema have shared amazing feedback, saying ithas made a real difference. However, we always recommend doing a patchtest to ensure compatibility with your skin.

How long will it take to see a difference in my skin?

Natural and botanical skincare products work by nourishing, balancing, and supporting the skin, offering long-term results with ongoing use. With some products, such as the Radiance Booster Serum or the Whipped Glow Moisturiser, you may notice an immediate difference, as they deliver a burst of hydration and nutrients to the skin. Other products, like the Night Bakuchiol Serum and the Bright As Day Serum, work deeper within the skin’s layers to address signs of ageing, uneven texture, and dullness. These results typically become visible within 4-8 weeks of consistent use.

Most people will see improvements in skin hydration and overall health withina couple of weeks, while conditions like fine lines, wrinkles, and hyperpigmentation may take up to three months to show significant progress. Plant-based ingredients have active constituents like antioxidants, carotenoids, flavonoids, polyphenols, vitamins, minerals, and essential fatty acids that encourage the skin to regenerate, hydrate, tone, stimulate, heal, nourish, relax, and tighten.

To reach the optimal goal of clear, radiant skin, you'll need to balance your internal system through a well-balanced, nutritional program based on unprocessed, whole foods, adequate water intake, and regular movement.

What is the expiry date of your products?

The product batch number and expiry can be found on the product label. Products have a recommended period after opening (PAO), which can be
found on the label or carton.
Products in jars, like the Whipped Glow Moisturiser, should be used within 3 months after opening. Always use a spatula to dispense the product and keep it watertight.
All products should be stored in a dry, cool place out of light and below 25°C (77°F).

about us
What is Planting for the Future?

Planting for the Future is our initiative to contribute positively to the environment. For every order placed, we plant a tree, helping to restore ecosystems, combat climate change, and create a greener future. We partner with reputable reforestation projects to ensure the trees are planted in areas that need them the most.

How do you minimise waste in your production process?

We are committed to reducing waste at every stage of production. While we are not entirely zero waste, we focus on using raw materials efficiently and work with suppliers who share our sustainability values. For example, we avoid using laminated paper for a glossy finish, opting for uncoated paper that is approved by a relevant organisation. We also prioritise packaging made from glass and aluminium, both of which are recyclable and align with our mission to minimise plastic use.

Are your products made with sustainably sourced ingredients?

Yes, we prioritise ingredients that are sustainably sourced, working closely with ethical suppliers to ensure fair practices and minimal environmental impact. Many of our ingredients are locally sourced in Australia, supportinglocal farmers and reducing our carbon footprint.

How are you reducing your carbon footprint?

We are constantly working to lower our carbon footprint by using local suppliers, reducing transport emissions, and optimising our production processes to save energy. Our packaging is primarily glass and cardboard, which reduces waste and enhances recyclability.

Do you use recycled materials in your packaging?

Yes, wherever possible, we use recycled materials in our packaging, such as mixed recycled cardboard for our boxes. We are committed to continuously exploring more sustainable materials to further improve our packaging practices.

Do you use palm oil in your products?

We do NOT use palm oil as a direct input in any of our products.

In the process of manufacturing, there are a few ingredients in which palm oil may be used as a byproduct in some surfactants and emulsifiers. We ensure that any raw material suppliers that we work with only incorporate sustainable palm oil from plantations that have been certified as Roundtable Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO). We do not support the negative impacts of palm oil cultivation, including deforestation and the devastation it causes to the environment, animals, and communities. There are many reasons how and why sustainable palm oil is used. For more information, visit RSPO.
