A Small Brand with a Big Heart
Hi, I’m Eva — the one-woman band behind The Very Good Goo.
Four years ago, I started this brand from my kitchen bench with one simple goal: to create skincare that’s natural, cruelty-free, gentle, and actually works for sensitive skin.
I wanted something pure — no nasty synthetics, sustainably packaged, and full of the good stuff that plants have to offer. What began as a humble experiment became the Intensive Care Skin Balm, affectionately called “The Very Good Goo.” It quickly won hearts (and healed skin), and that love has kept me going ever since.
This isn’t a big company; it’s a passionate, small business built on learning, tweaking, and lots of late nights. Every product is a labour of love, crafted with real care, botanical ingredients, and the kind of attention only a tiny team (aka me!) can give.

The goal is to grow beyond skincare and inspire a lifestyle of wellness, self-care, and mindful living. One day, sourcing everything from biodynamic farms, tracing every ingredient back to its roots.
The dream is to become a certified B Corp because doing good really matters—but let’s be real, it’s a long journey. With help from kind investors and supporters, that dream could grow faster. (Hint: always open to a chat!)

I grew up with simple, nature-filled days in Europe—running through meadows, collecting herbs, and listening to my grandparents’ stories about natural remedies. Those early memories gave me a real love and respect for what nature has to offer.
Moving to Australia has been an amazing adventure, mixing my European roots with the vibrant and diverse spirit here. Working with Australian botanicals has been such a rewarding journey—bringing together the best of both worlds in every jar.

I care—about your skin, the planet, and doing things the right way.
I started with a 100% natural approach, but adding preservatives became a necessary, thoughtful choice to keep products safe and fresh—especially for water-based formulas, where it’s a legal must. I always aim to use the best and latest in skincare, mixing those with natural botanicals wherever I can. Most ingredients are plant-based and vegan, except for two products that include honey and beeswax—no other animal stuff involved. Being honest, ethical, and making sustainable choices is what The Very Good Goo is all about.
