Hi, I’m Eva — the one-woman band behind The Very Good Goo.

I grew up in Poland surrounded by wild meadows, herbs, and women who believed in simple remedies that actually worked. My grandma always kept a small tin of natural ointment — nothing fancy, just pure ingredients and old-world wisdom. That simplicity never left me. “Less, but better” was just… normal.

When I moved to Australia, I carried that philosophy with me — along with an obsession for making things from scratch and keeping life uncomplicated.

HOW ONE BALM BECAME A BRAND

Years ago, I tried to recreate a version of my grandma’s balm in my tiny kitchen. It was meant to be just for me. But it worked — really well.

And suddenly friends, then friends of friends, wanted it too.

That little jar became The Very Good Goo.

And somehow, it grew into a brand built on care, honesty, and a lot of late nights mixing, testing, and learning.

Every formula blends botanical ingredients with the best of modern skincare — natural where it’s powerful, safely preserved where it’s needed.

Most of our ingredients are plant-based and vegan (except two products with beeswax and honey).

Everything is crafted in small batches, packed sustainably, and made with the kind of attention only a tiny brand can give.
