🌿 Why I Fell in Love with Botanical Skincare

🌿 Why I Fell in Love with Botanical Skincare

Skincare, to me, has never just been about what we put on our faces. It’s about ritual, tradition, and a deep respect for nature—something I learned early on in the most magical way.

As a kid, I spent summers at my grandmother’s cottage, where the days felt endless, and the air smelled like wildflowers. She taught me how to steep calendula petals for their skin-soothing magic, how to crush fresh rose petals into a fragrant mist, and how to let nature do its thing without overcomplicating it.

These weren’t just beauty tricks; they were small lessons in patience, care, and balance—things I’d only later realise are just as important in skincare as they are in life.

Fast forward to today, and I still believe that plants are the best chemists in the world. They’ve spent millions of years perfecting their formulas, creating compounds that heal, protect, and regenerate. But as much as I love botanical skincare, I also believe in science—because when done right, it doesn’t replace nature; it elevates it.

That’s exactly what I talk about in the first episode of my brand-new podcast, Botanical Skincare Secrets.

🌿 Why calendula, chamomile, rosehip & sea buckthorn are skincare superheroes
🌿 How I first fell in love with botanical skincare (spoiler: it started with my grandma’s ‘glow recipes’)
🌿 Where science fits in—and why it doesn’t have to be nature vs. lab-created formulas

If that sounds like your kind of thing, I’d love for you to have a listen!
